Baltic Strait Between Sweden and Bornholm Island

"This sand is the 'singing sand' from the Baltic Sea between Sweden and the island of Bornholm. On the Sweden side of the strait the sand is colored (see below) and on the island of Bornholm it is white. It makes the same sound on both sides. This sand was actually painstakingly brought down to the French King Louis XIV (King Sunshine) for his castle of pleasure in Versailles in the late 17th century." - A. Arekrans
