I collected this sample a long time ago. My images were taken on film! I don't really know if it came from this beach, but it probably did. The sand is quite unique. It is filled with iron particles. One of the favorite activities of the natives from Block Island was to watch the tourists walk on to this beach and come in contact with the hot chunks of iron! It was spectacular! |
