KAIOLOHIA (SHIPWRECK) BEACH, LANAI Unknown Photographer

Sample #1 is a very different sand sample. Most of the sand grains are the algae Halimeda. Mixed in with the destroyed algae are occasional pieces of lava, and maybe a speck or two of rust from the wreck!
