Sand was collected from the reception plaza of Taliesen West, Frank Lloyd Wright’s western architecture design studio in Scottsdale, off of Highway 101. Very coarse sample. The significance of the rock is it is representative in color of the big, rustic desert stones used for Taliesen West and First Christian Church which he designed, located on 7 th Ave just south of Glendale Ave. Gary Foster |
