I know, it's a sand site, but every once in a while something special shows up. This rock was one of those times. I am taking a paleontology course on the major extinctions in geologic history at a local senior center. We are also allowed to bring in rock samples to be discussed. One of the students brought this in. It was collected from a roadside in Skagway in 1993. I showed such aninterest in it that she let me keep the sample. Thank you Brenda!
