One of the teachers I worked with had the opportunity to go on an expedition with JOIDES beginning in the Phillipines and ending in Australia. She and her partner were researching paleoclimates. They obviously couldn't be given samples from the current expedition, but they were given a core from Expedition 361 off the coast of South Africa also dealing with paleoclimates. The samples below show a sample from the core containing foraminifera, and then a cleaned example of the forams. Enjoy. Thank you Dori for sharing! |
