THE PEARL IN DOHA - Hungarian Snow Photograph |
"Here is a sample of sand that accumulated near a curb after a wind storm. It is different from the sand I sent you in Abu Dhabi after such an event." Gary FosterNOTE: After you go to the Abu Dhabi link, click on the sand storm link.SAMPLES 2, 3, and 4"The samples were taken about 25 km north of Doha at the construction site known as Doha North Sewage Treatment Works. Sample #2 is a natural windblown sand alongside the road, and sample #3 is sand used for grading and concrete or perhaps mortar. Both are fine, but I believe the windblown might be finer. Sample #4 is also construction sand. I cannot ascertain the source, but it does not look to be man-made." Gary Foster |
