PLACER DREDGE SAND ROGUE VALLEY 42.45N, 123.02W

 

The link is to a description of placer deposits and finding gold in Oregon. The sample supposedly contains flakes of gold. The only flake that I saw that reflected a metallic gold luster was the cube circled in the 5x image. Gold shouldn't be a cube. None the less, I'm keeping this sample in a safe place! After a sEcond look I found something that might be a fleck (see above). This is definitely not enough to use for retirement!
