PFEIFFER  BEACH,  BIG SUR 36.28N, 121.83W

This place is so amazing! It has patches of sand that is loaded with garnets (see below). Then a few meters away, the sand is almost clear of the mineral. The day we went the surf was pounding the rocks. There was no way anyone was getting in the water! It supposedly is like that on most days.
