"The sample is from the Jordan side of the Dead Sea about 150 feet above the level of the Sea (still below sea (ocean) level). The sample was taken from an alluvium deposit, a typical fan shape, about 30 feet wide and 30 feet long. I was surprised to see hardly any sand deposits on the very edge of the Dead Sea." G.
